The Process: Treatment Progression and Goals

So, What will this cost me?

Initial diagnostics, planning and disease stabilization (clean-up) can easily cost over $500. (Remember, if you have had no "cleanings," for example, for 3 years, x only twice/year x only $100/cleaning = you have at least $600, and probably twice that much, worth of "crud" accumulation.)

We regularly test people who "Just had a cleaning recently" and find them literally crawling with bacteria, yeast, spirochetes, amoebas, etc… (Normal germ concentrations approximate 100 billion organisms per cc. An active gum 'pocket' can contain 500 million organisms. If you "scrape" 95% out, 25 million are left; they can reproduce to their original numbers in one day.)

Once initial clean-up has been accomplished, regular supportive periodontal appointments can be expected to cost $150-250, 2-4 times/year, depending entirely upon the condition you bring us at these intervals. (Dental insurance, based on archaic concepts, is likely to cover almost none of this.)
